I believe this is one of the most important videos I’ve ever created. I believe that because it sheds light on 3 very important factors for becoming a successful web developer: 1) knowing the technology behind the internet and what exactly is happening what a web pages is loaded into a web browser, 2) knowing what the different web technologies are (Apache, PHP, MySQL, browsers, etc.) and how the all fit together to make the web work, and 3) knowing where each technology fits into the grand scope of the internet, what each is capable of, and what exactly you’re doing when you use one of the technologies.
I believe this video is so important, I include it in every course I offer. Not getting the understandings outlined in this video would be like trying to be an engine mechanic without ever having seen a car, or trying to call plays without ever having watched a football game.
